That same year, she was featured in Changing Course, a collection of empowering pieces by bestselling author Yitta Halberstam (Small Miracles, Adams Media, Inc. 2004).  The anthology includes essays and comments by such notables as Betty Rollin, Joyce Maynard, Oprah Winfrey and Susan Sarandon, among many others.

A marketing major in college, Sandy later received her paralegal certification from Penn State University.  Her work in the areas of civil and criminal law has served her well in crafting mysteries. She is currently at work on a new tale of suspense titled My Bonny Lies.
